Neil Druckmann says that Naughty Dog is “shooting on all cylinders” with intergalactic: the heretic prophet

Naughty Dog is immersing himself headlong in a new territory with his imminent science fiction epic Intergalactic: the heretic prophetand second Neil DruckmannWhat we have seen so far is only the tip of the iceberg.

The game was revealed for the first time with a four and a half minutes film trailer during last year prizes, which you can watch below. He gave us a first glance to the protagonist and the Jordan bounty hunter while traveling in a strange alien world and was faced with an imposing robotic enemy who branched a weapon similar to a hammer. While the teaser laid the foundations for the universe, he left the fans with more questions than answers.

In a recent interview with Variety, Druckmann has made fun of the fact that the study is going stronger than ever with this project.

“I can tell you that we are in the middle. We are doing it, we are playing it. We are shooting on all the cylinders. I have already said it before, but I really mean it, I really feel it at the moment: it is the most ambitious game we have ever realized. It is the largest game we have ever done, perhaps the most expensive, when we finished it.”

As exciting as it may seem, Druckmann also clarified that the trailer that we barely seen scratching the surface of what the team is building.

“I am so anxious to show it and talk about it because the trailer that we have shown does not scratch even the surface of what really this game is.

“But announce a game like this, especially when it is a new IP, especially when it comes out of Naughty Dog, you have to coordinate with marketing, with PR, with a pile of people. So it would be silly for me to say when we show something right now.”

We still don’t know how Intergalactic In reality, he plays, but Druckmann previously mentioned the inspiration from Elden Ring’s approach to the narrative led by the gameplay. Although he has not confirmed any mechanical similarity, his comments suggest that the study branches beyond his linear style linear style.

“You could look at our previous titles and see the evolution of going from Uncharted, in which we are really cutting our teeth into a realistic-action game, third-person shooter, combined with emotional narrative.

“With the last of us, we added some role -playing elements, we started playing with large linear layouts. Continue that trajectory forward, add science fiction and start having the feeling of what we are doing, and then we have become even more ambitious than that.”

Intergalactic It has been under development for about five years, but Naughty Dog keeps his lips tight on the details. The study record of the study with Uncharted and The Last of Us speaks alone, and if Druckmann’s words are something to do, this new adventure could be the most daring thing that Naughty Dog has ever tried.
