One of the things most fans are excited about about Marvel Captain America: Brave New WorldAND Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross and his transformation into Red Hulk.
During a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the director Giulio Onah he raved about Ford’s performance and shared his explicit reaction to seeing Ford’s Red Hulk.
Onah said, “All of us on set were like, ‘Holy crap, he nailed it.’ It’s really cool to go back to a Hulk that just sucks and a raging monster.
So, it looks like it’s going to be fun to watch! Even if Marvel ruins the story, at least fans will be able to enjoy Ford letting loose and letting loose.
Ford shared his thoughts on the role, previously played by the late William Hurt. He said: “I was a little worried about taking over from Bill Hurt, who was a wonderful actor.
“I was ambitious in finding the right way to play this character after audiences had seen other people do it. I’m only slightly familiar with the Marvel Universe – I live in another universe – but I’ve seen a number of Marvel films with wonderful actors, apparently having fun. And I thought, ‘Well, why not me?'”
When it comes to the performance part of Red Hulk, Ford didn’t think it was that complicated. He said: “I tried to understand the ambitions of the filmmakers and be useful to them. I just didn’t sit at home at night and say, ‘Oh, what do I want to do when I turn into the Hulk?’ It didn’t seem like a terribly difficult acting proposition to me.”
In the film “After the meeting with the newly elected president of the United States Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford Making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident.
“He must uncover the motive behind a nefarious global conspiracy before the true mastermind causes the entire world to see red.”
Captain America: Brave New World stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv TylerAND Tim Blake Nelson.
Captain America: Brave New World will be released in American theaters on February 14, 2025.
