KRAVEN THE HUNTER is about to open with a low box office franchise, lower than MADAME WEB

Sony Pictures should prepare for another Marvel movie twist at the box office Kraven the Hunter is about to open with a low franchise of between $13 and $15 million. Neither Aaron Tylor-JohnsonYour abs will be able to save this movie.

That number is even lower than Mrs. Webwhich became a box office bomb after a $13.5 million start in February. 2022’s Morbius ended up flopping with a $17.3 million opening on its first day.

Kraven the Hunter had a production budget of $110 million and will be released in 3,200 theaters, a figure lower than the number of theaters planned for Venom: The Last Dancereleased in 4,131 theaters, Mrs. Web with 4,013 theaters and Morbio with 4,268 theaters.

The film opens against The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrimwhich I’m much more excited about.

After Kraven the HunterSony Pictures is pulling the plug on all of its spin-off films in the Spider-Man universe. They will now only focus on their projects directly involving Spider-Man.

Kraven the Hunter is the visceral, action-packed origin story of how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), sets him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the world’s greatest hunter, but also one of the most feared.

JC Chandor he is directing the film from a screenplay by Art Marco AND Matt Holloway (Iron Man), and is also the protagonist Ariana De Bose like Calypso, Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger like a chameleon, Alessandro Nivola like a bad stranger, Levi Miller, AND Capture-22 star Christopher Abbott as the main villain, The Foreigner.
