Fans are eagerly waiting for DC’s next series Lanternswho will be the protagonist Kyle Chandler as Lantern legend Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as new recruit John Stewart.
The series will focus on “two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark Earth mystery as they investigate a murder in the heartland of America.”
Pierre voices the lion Mufasa in the upcoming King of the Pridelands origin story for Disney, and while he was in attendance at the film’s red carpet premiere, ComicBook asked him about his preparation for the role of John Stewart in the DC film. Lanterns.
Pierre said of the series: “What I can tell you is that the team is just super, super excited to have this opportunity to bring this story to people.
“And, as far as I’m concerned, I will do my best to serve, honor and uplift in every way possible, John Stewart and the [Green Lantern] Body. I hope to serve it and it resonates with me.
When asked what his homework was in preparing for the role of John Stewart, Pierre responded with one word: “Extensive.”
So it seems like the team working on this series is committed to paying homage to the comic book origin, while also elevating the story into something that works really well on screen.
I can’t wait to see this show come to life. Stay tuned for updates as the show develops.
