Disney Channel has released a teaser trailer for an upcoming animated series titled StuGoand is set on a summer camp island full of giant creatures. This looks like a fun show for kids!
Inspired by his childhood, surrounded by the rich wildlife and vibrant energy of South Florida, creator and executive producer Ryan Gillis (The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse) brings StuGo, “an original animated series about six middle school students who are tricked into attending a fake academic summer camp by a mad scientist.
“What started as three months of learning turns into an adventure of a lifetime on a tropical island full of mind-reading manatees, giant fighting mushrooms, and fashionable mutants.”
The main voice cast of the series includes Tania Gunadi like “Pliny”, Zosia Mamet like “Merian”, Zach Reino like “Chip”, Gabourey Sidibe like “Francis”, Charlyne Yi as “Larry”, Deborah Baker Jr. like “Sara”, Lorraine Toussaint like “Dr. Lullaby” e Jake Green as “Mr. All right.”
In addition to Gillis, the series’ creative team includes Sunil Hall (Gravity falls) as co-executive producer and Craig Lewis (The foster home for imaginary friends) as a story editor.
StuGo will premiere on Disney Channel on Saturday, January 11 at 8pm ET/PT with two episodes, followed by new episodes weekly on Sundays at 9am ET/PT. The series will also stream on Disney+ in spring 2025.
