Sony Pictures has released a cryptic teaser trailer for Danny Boyle’S 28 years later. The teaser involves typing Morse code on a black screen and there are some quick images flashing on the screen.
The images include an island connected to a long land bridge and a helmet with an arrow shooting through it. As for what’s said through Morse code, it apparently translates to “Tuesday.” So, we might get a real first trailer on Tuesday.
The first two films of the 28 Years Later trilogy have already been shot. Boyle directed the first episode, while Nia Da Costa (Candyman, The Wonders) directed the second.
During an earlier interview, actor Ralph Fiennes shared details of the story, saying: “Britain has for 28 years been dealing with this terrible plague of infected people who are violent, angry human beings with few pockets of uninfected communities.
“And it’s about a boy who wants to find a doctor to help his dying mother. He guides his mother through this beautiful territory of Northern England. But of course the infected are hiding around them in the forests, hills and woods.
“But find a doctor who is a man who we might think is going to be strange and strange, but is actually a force for good.”
Cilian Murphy reprises his role in 28 years later as Jim, a former cycle courier who previously awoke from a coma to discover the “rabies virus” that has decimated London. He is also an executive producer.
The next sequel is also the protagonist Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman AND Edvin Ryding.
Alex Garland (28 days later) wrote 28 years laterand will be released in theaters on June 20, 2025 by Sony.
