New photos shared for Season 2 of Lucasfilm’s ANDOR

Some new photos have emerged for Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated second season of the epic Star Wars series Andor. They offer a small taste of what’s to come as Cassian Andor’s story continues.

The images present the return of Diego Luna in the role of Cassiano Andor, Stellan Skarsgård like Luthen Rael, as well as Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma with a platoon of Imperial Stormtroopers in the background.

We also see a tender moment between Cassiano and Adria ArjonaIt’s Bix Caleen. Arjona spoke about the reunion of these characters, saying, “They definitely reunite. When you imagine what these two characters may go through, just remember that Tony wrote it.

“So it’s much more complex than my personal imagination, knowing this character and knowing the story, could ever have comprehended.”

“She’s incredibly screwed up by Dr. Gorst. The fact that she survived is a huge triumph. She’s definitely not perfect, but that’s definitely not the case [frick]as we saw it at the end of the first season.”

The events of the first season covered the first year of that period, but the story of the second season will take place over the course of four years.

The synopsis reads: “Andorthe acclaimed thriller, returns with its long-awaited conclusion. The twelve episodes of the second season will tell the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging Rebel alliance over the course of the climactic four years leading up to the discovery of the Death Star and the events of Rogue One.

“The first season followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to volunteer revolutionary. Andor Season two will see him transform from soldier to leader to hero on the road to his epic destiny. From the first scene, Cassian’s story has activated an ever-widening set of allies and enemies.

“Season two will see these relationships intensify as the horizon of galactic war approaches. Everyone will be tested, and as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices, and conflicting agendas will run deep. Who will live to see their dream come true? Who will realize how much the dream will cost?”

Speaking about his journey in the new season, Luna recently said: “He is a man completely committed to the Rebellion. He is someone who needs to ascend. There is a huge mountain to climb to do this [become] the boy we meet Rogue One.”

Andor The second season will premiere on Disney+ on April 22, 2025.
