Deadpool and Wolverine was a huge success for Marvel and Disney as it got great reviews and grossed over $1 billion at the box office. As you might expect, studios and fans would love to see another one made.
While Ryan Reynolds I would also like to do another Deadpool movie, it will be a while before that happens. During a recent interview with Extra, the actor was asked if he had already thought about making Deadpool 4.
Reynolds responded: “Oh now, bite your tongue. It’s a… I’d love to, but there’s a reason it’s been six years since the last one.”
And he goes on to say, “It kind of swallows up my whole life and I have four kids that I wouldn’t mind showing up to at some point, I just spend a little time driving them to and from school.”
It makes sense that he would want to take a break from such a huge undertaking as another Deadpool movie to spend time with his kids.
The actor went on to say how much he enjoyed doing it Deadpool and Wolverineand how proud I am of the response to the film.
“I’m immensely proud and feel really lucky to have been – not just a part of course – but to work with this crew, with so many people who are at the top of their game.
“So many artisans, second, third generation teams in what they do. I loved every second of it and it’s probably the only movie I’ve ever finished that I cried at. I was honestly sad and a little depressed when we blocked the image.”
We haven’t seen the last of Deadpool, obviously he’ll be back. We simply don’t know when that will happen. One thing’s for sure… it’ll be a few years before we see a fourth Deadpool movie.
