The film comes from The night comes for us director Timo Tjahjantowho spoke about the film in an interview with Empire.
He said: “Now that he’s back in full swing, how does his family react to this beast? You’ll see a lot of the questions fathers and husbands ask: “How do they react to this other side of me that is constantly busy and working for the family?” It’s going to be a great trip.”
He continued: “We took away the dingy, gloomy factory/warehouse feel of the first film and made it much more summery and colourful.”
Sharon Stone she joins Odenkirk in the film, and speaking of her, Tjahjanto said: “Her performance reminds me a lot of Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast. She’s definitely an alpha female.
“She doesn’t take shit from anyone. This is a unique villain and it’s driving this character crazy.”
Connie Nielsen AND Christopher Lloyd they are reprising their roles as the family man’s wife and father, respectively. They are united by Colin Hanksas “a corrupt sheriff with less than beautiful ambitions”.
Universal Pictures will release it None 2 in theaters August 15, 2025.
