The BBC has released the first preview trailer for the upcoming film Doctor Who Christmas Special 2024, entitled Joy to the world. The teaser was shown as part of the BBC’s Children in Need charity coverage last weekend and is presented by Ncuti Gatwait is the Doctor, protagonist of the clip opposite Bridgerton star By Nicola Coughlan new character, Gioia.
This clip sees the two characters face to face with a mysterious box-shaped device in a treehouse, where we discover that this special will see the return of the Villengard Corporation.
As the Doctor begins to speak to the hologram emerging from the box, Joy realizes that they are not alone in the jungle, and soon they will find themselves face to face with a giant dinosaur!
It looks like it’s going to be an exciting ride for Doctor Who fans during the holiday season. Check out the teaser below and watch Joy to the World when it premieres on Disney Plus in the US and on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK on December 25.
