MGM+ has released a trailer for its upcoming apocalyptic sci-fi thriller series The Earth remains. The series is based on the award-winning and influential science fiction novel by George R. Stewart.
The story is “a mix of dystopian horror and a literary exploration of loneliness. It remains a fresh, provocative – and all too relevant – story of apocalyptic pandemic, social collapse, rebirth.”
In The Earth remains“When a plague of unprecedented virulence sweeps across the globe, the human race is nearly wiped out. Afterwards, as the great machine of civilization slowly and inexorably breaks down, only a few shattered survivors remain to fight against the slide into extinction.
The series is the protagonist Alessandro Ludovico like Ish, along with Jessica Frances Dukes, Aaron Tveit, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Elyse Levesque, Hilary McCormack, Luisa D’Oliveira, Birkett Turton, Jenna Bermann.
The project was born from the writer and producer Todd Komarnicki (The Resistance, The Perfect Stranger, Sully, The Professor and the Madman). Other writers include Karen Janszen, Evan Hart, Tony SpiridakisAND Kyle Stephen.
Amazon will make its debut The Earth remains on MGM+ on December 1, 2024.
