James Bond fans have been curious to know who will play the next version of 007 when the new film is finally announced.
There are many rumors, speculations and fan castings, but we have no idea what the producers of the franchise are thinking about who might play Bond.
Former Bond star Daniel Craig He was recently asked who he’d like to see fill the role during an interview with Variety, and he bluntly replied, “I don’t care.”
Pierce Brosnan once gave a similar answer to the same question by saying, “I don’t really care.” So I guess once James Bond actors are done with the role, they just don’t care what happens next with the franchise, and why should they? They have no interest in it after they are done.
The most recent update on the upcoming film came from the producer Barbara Broccoli earlier this year saying, “No, there’s nothing I can tell you about the next Bond film. There’s nothing. Nothing’s happening yet.”
Broccoli also said that he has only just scratched the surface of the next iteration of Bond, and that there is “a big way to go.”
So, it looks like we still have a long way to go before we see a new Bond film on the big screen.
