Paramount+ has released the first trailer for the wicked holiday comedy Dear Santa Clauswhat stars Black Jack like Satan Claus. This looks like a silly, fun movie that will make you laugh!
The film comes from Farrelly Brothers (Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, Shallow Hal), and they said this will be a movie about Satan that the whole family will enjoy!
When a little boy sends his Christmas wish list to Santa Claus with a crucial spelling mistake, an evil Jack Black arrives to wreak havoc on the holidays…Christmas is about to go up in flames.
In the film “Young Liam Turner (Robert Timothy Smith) still believes in Santa Claus. To prove to all his incredulous friends that Santa Claus really exists, he writes a letter to the big boy inviting him to show himself.
“The only problem? Liam isn’t a very good speller and instead addresses the letter to Satan. Satan, who never receives letters from children, is flattered and goes to meet Liam. Hijinks, chaos and hilarity ensue.
Bobby Farrelly previously said: “Jack is just that guy who with his arched eyebrows and his faces and everything, there’s always a little mischievous about him, but he’s extremely nice, and that’s just Jack .
“We never wanted to turn it into a horror movie or anything like that. We wanted it to be comedic. So it was delicate to portray this iconic character, but do it in a way that the audience could enjoy. And Jack was the perfect guy.
Peter Farrelly shared that his favorite part of the film is “the fantastic message” that comes through the film, “because Liam asked Satan to come accidentally, he can make some wishes, and it’s about those and what he does with those, and who becomes.” And, he jokes, “There’s a nice twist at the end.”
It’s also in the cast Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker, Kai Cech AND Austin Post.
Dear Santa Claus will arrive on Paramount+ and Digital on November 25, 2024.
