Here’s the first trailer for an upcoming vampire mystery thriller titled Portraits. The film centers on Mira, who inherits a building full of secrets and mysterious new friends.
In the story, Mira is “a down-on-her-luck artist, who discovers she has inherited a mysterious building in Los Angeles from an unknown relative.
“Seizing this new opportunity, Mira uproots her life to start something new. But it’s not long before her fate draws her deeper into her family’s secret past, and her attraction to her mysterious new friend, Madeline, slowly reveals itself.
“As Mira embarks on her new life and romance with a photography classmate, a series of brutal murders besieges those around her. Do her series of recurring nightmares point to the unknown killer or are they a link to Mira’s dark ancestral history?
The film is described as a “modern adaptation of Carmillaa female vampire story set in modern-day Los Angeles, against a backdrop of Victorian death photographs and burlesque.
“A dark and evocative fairy tale strongly influenced by films like Hunger, heart of an angel AND Nosferatu, Portraits It’s a psychological and romantic thriller.”
The film was written and directed by Stefania Parigiand the cast includes Amanda Jones, Jack Bennett, Olivia Bellafontaine, Tally Smith, Elissa Dowling, Irena Violette, Rebecca Pitkin, Camille Calvin, Paola Carlleo, Marc Wasserman, Igael Gurin-Malous, Diane Ayala Goldner, Mike Tribby, Rob Nelson, AND Patti Negri.
Portraits will be released on digital and VOD on November 1st.
