Venom: The Last Dance led the story of Tom HardyEddie Brock’s version of has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean Sony Picture is done with Venom.
According to Daniel Richtman, Hollywood Inside Scooper, the studio is moving forward with the franchise and is now developing a new franchise Agent Venom movie.
It hasn’t been revealed whether Hardy will return for this project, but the actor confirmed it The last dance it’s his last time playing Venom, I doubt we’ll see him return.
I imagine that if this is true, it will be a completely new version of Venom. After all, Agent Venom isn’t Eddie Brock, he’s Flash Thompson.
Agent Venom is the story of Thompson, Peter Parker’s former high school bully turned war hero, who bonds with the Venom symbiote under government supervision to become a black ops agent.
As Agent Venom, Flash gains incredible powers, including superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to generate organic webs and morph weapons from the symbiote. This is part of the “Rebirth Project”.
However, he faces the constant struggle of keeping the symbiote’s darker impulses in check, as he often tries to assert control and revert to his more violent tendencies.
During his missions, Flash balances his desire to be a hero with the challenges of addiction, disability due to war wounds, and a complex relationship with the Venom symbiote itself.
This partnership with the symbiote allows him to undertake dangerous covert missions across the world, battling enemies ranging from supervillains to supernatural forces, all while wrestling with the inner demons that both his past and the symbiote bring to the surface.
I love the character of Agent Venom and this is the Venom movie project I was hoping to see made one day. So, it would be interesting if this rumor turns out to be true. It will also be interesting to see who they cast as the Flash.
Flash Thompson is played by Tony Revolori in the Spider-Man movie and I always thought he was completely wrong. I don’t see him stepping into the role of Agent Venom, but who knows what will happen. We’ll just have to wait and see.
