DC Studios Casts Garret Dillahunt as Villain in LANTERNS

Garrett Dillahunt (Fear of The Walking Dead) got the role of a villain in DC Studios and HBO Lanterns series. Joins the leads Kyle Chandler AND Aaron Pierre and regular series Kelly MacDonald.

Dillahunt will play William Macon, a character described as a “modern cowboy, a hypocrite and a conspiracy theorist who masks his ruthless ambition behind a charming and calculated facade.”

The series will focus on new recruit John Stewart (Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Chandler), “two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark Earth mystery as they investigate a murder in the heartland of America.”

Macdonald plays Sheriff Kerry, “a no-nonsense woman, deeply devoted to her family and her close-knit town. Her resilience, shaped by a complex past that strengthened her resolve, anchors her as the community’s secrets begin to emerge.

The project is developed by Ozarks‘S Chris Mundy, Guardians‘S Damon Lindelofand comic book writer Tom King.

When it comes to the eight-episode series, the co-presidents and co-CEOs of DC Studios James Gunn AND Pietro Safransaid: “John Stewart and Hal Jordan are two of DC’s most compelling characters, and Lanterns brings them to life in an original crime novel that is a key part of the unified DCU we launch next summer with Superman.”
