Some details have emerged regarding Marvel Studios and Sony Picture Spider-Man 4. The film comes from Shang Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton with Tom Holland ready to resume his role.
The film is scheduled for release on July 26, 2026 and will be released between the films Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
According to Production Weekly, the film will be titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is a nod to the comic book relaunch that restored his status quo following the end of the wall-crawler’s marriage to Mary Jane Watson.
They also shared the following possible details about the story:
“Following the events of Doomsday, Peter Parker is determined to lead a normal life and focus on college, stepping away from his responsibilities as Spider-Man.
“However, the peace is short-lived when a deadly new threat emerges, endangering his friends and forcing Peter to reconsider his promise.”
“With the stakes higher than ever, Peter reluctantly returns to his identity as Spider-Man and finds himself teaming up with an unlikely ally to protect those he loves.”
These are just rumors that you should take with a grain of salt, but there is always a small chance that there may be some truth to them.
Holland recently revealed that he and Zendaya he read a draft of the script and expressed his excitement about the direction the film will take with the story.
Holland said: “We have a creative, a presentation and a draft, which is excellent. It needs work but the writers are doing a great job. I read this 3 weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me.
“Zendaya and I sat and read it together and, at times, bounced around the living room, as if this was a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.”
He also said, “The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans will really respond to it.”
