Smile 2 was a huge hit among horror fans. It’s actually a great movie and I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. I really enjoyed it and loved its crazy ending which sets up a wild sequel.
During a recent interview with CB, the director Parker Finn he said he’s interested in returning for a third film and that he wants to continue telling character stories instead of offering cheap scares. He also teased that he sees a lot of storytelling opportunities for the franchise.
“Well, I will say this, I think there are a lot of interesting avenues for the future Smile it could go down. For me, I love all the things that happen at night and all the really scary things in the big concept of Smile and the Smiling One.
“But really, for me, Smile it’s a vehicle for telling really intense and hopefully thoughtful character stories, and so I would like to make sure, regardless of whether more than one person might have it, that we still find a way to really invest intimacy in the storytelling.
“This is very important to me. But I think there are still some really cool tricks up its sleeves Smile.”
The director seems to be able to tell good character based horror stories, it will be really interesting to see how it looks now that thousands of people have been cursed by the demon Smile.
What would you like to see next Smile followed?
In the sequel: “On the verge of embarking on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Scott) begins to experience increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events.
“Overwhelmed by escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to confront her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”
This franchise centers on an evil, relentless demon who drives his victims to suicide by appearing as a series of humans with sinister smiles on their faces.
