The substance star Margaret Qualley will star in a psychological horror thriller titled Victorian psychopath.
The film is set in 1858 and the story will follow “an eccentric young housekeeper named Winifred Notty (Qualley) who arrives at the remote Gothic manor known as Ensor House.
“Winifred’s responsibilities include teaching children table manners and educating them about their family history, all while hiding her psychopathic tendencies.
“As Winifred assimilates to life at Ensor House, members of the staff inexplicably begin to disappear and the owners of the estate begin to wonder if there is something wrong with their new housekeeper.”
This seems like a great project for Qualley to come on board. She said in a statement: “Working with Zach [Wigon] he once again feels like a rare gift and I can’t wait to enter this twisted world he has created.
The film will be directed by Zaccaria Wigon (Sanctuary) from a screenplay by the author Virginia Feito (Lady March).
Wigon added: “As soon as I discovered this absolutely crazy and unforgettable character, I knew I had to introduce viewers to Winifred Notty.
“I am beyond thrilled that the fearless Margaret Qualley will bring this complex anti-hero to life. Virginia Feito’s screenplay is a bold blend of psychodrama, satire, blood and mystery. With passionate horror producer Dan Kagan and the support of Anton and Anonymous, I can’t wait to make Victorian Psycho.”
The film is based on Feito’s upcoming novel of the same name. Production will begin in March 2025.
