Magnet Releasing has released the trailer for the upcoming dark comedy thriller Lake Georgewhat stars Shea Whigham (Joker, Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning, part one) AND Carrie Coon (Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire).
The film’s synopsis reads: “Heavily armed by mobsters to pull off a heist, Don (Whigham) is unable to pull it off. The target, Phyllis (Coon), has plans of her own and proposes a little tag team action to Don: join forces to steal money from the people who want her dead.
Co-CEOs of Magnolia Pictures Eamonn Bowles AND Dori Begley said in a statement: “Carrie Coon and Shea Whigham are brilliantly funny in director Jeffrey Reiner’s beautifully plotted thriller.”
Director Jeffrey Reiner added, “I have always admired the care and creativity with which Magnolia handles its films,” said Jeffrey Reiner. “I’m thrilled to see them release Lake George, a film that dances between noir and black comedy, and I can’t wait for audiences to discover it in December.”
The film seems like a good time and will be released on December 6th in theaters and digitally.
