We have a new trailer here for you to watch for the upcoming action comedy Weekend in Taipeiwhat stars Luke Evans and comes from the creators of Taken AND The transporter. Luca Besson co-wrote and produced this film.
In the film, “John Lawlor (Evans) is a pit bull DEA agent married to his job – there’s not a bad guy he can’t stop, nothing he wouldn’t sacrifice to close a case.
“Joey Kang (Mon-Mei Gwei) is one of the best “transporters” in Taipei, Taiwan: she drives fast and thinks fast, she is hard to define, impossible to catch. The two weren’t supposed to fall in love, but fate brought them together… before the forces of crime and corruption tore them apart.
“Now, 15 years later, fate puts Joey and John on a collision course during a weekend in Taipei. And the two will discover that the only thing more difficult than falling in love… is falling in love again.”
It looks like a fun movie that features a lot of interesting action and cheesy comedy.
The film will have a limited theatrical release on November 1, 2024.
