Here’s a fun Easter egg Deadpool and Wolverine which was spotted by a fan while watching the movie. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the movie and there are still plenty that some fans may have missed.
This is something I didn’t catch until it was pointed out by an X fan. In the movie, there is a ship in the background of the Fox graveyard scene that is actually the HMS Surprise from the incredible movie Master and Commander: Master and Commander: The Other Side of the World!
Master and Commander: The Other Side of the World follows Captain Jack Aubrey (Russell Crowe), a brave and experienced British naval officer, as he commanded HMS Surprise during the Napoleonic Wars.
Set in 1805, the story centers on Aubrey’s pursuit of the French warship Acheron, a vessel with superior firepower and speed, which posed a significant threat to British interests.
Aubrey, along with his dear friend and ship’s surgeon, Dr. Stephen Maturin (Paolo Bettany), faces relentless obstacles, including rough seas, limited resources, and internal conflicts within his crew.
It’s a really fun Easter egg, but it’s also a little sad because it’s such a shame we never got a sequel to that great movie.
I finally saw the new Deadpool movie. I don’t care for most of the references, but I’m fixated on the fact that this ship in Fox’s graveyard is the HMS Surprise from MASTER AND COMMANDER. pic.twitter.com/HYAzvH25Lg
