Showtime has released the first trailer for its upcoming dark political thriller series The Agencyset in the world of covert operations and undercover agents. This looks like it could be a great show and I can’t wait to watch it.
The story follows “a world of even deeper intrigue and subterfuge, with characters fighting their own battles as they grapple with existential threats to the nation and the world.”
Michael Fassbender protagonist of the series as “a secret CIA agent who has been ordered to abandon his life undercover and return to London station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance is rekindled.
“His career, his true identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; throwing them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.”
The series also has a great supporting cast including Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Catherine Waterston, Giovanni Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Reza Brojerdi, AND Richard Gere.
The Agency was created and written by brothers Jez AND John Henry Butterworth of which they are both writers Fair game, Edge of tomorrow, Ford-FerrariAND Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny.
The series is based on the original French series titled The Bureau des Legendes created by Eric Rochant. Showtime will debut the series on November 29, 2024.
