It’s fun to see a deleted scene from an old movie resurface and see the reactions of people who didn’t even know it existed and are seeing it for the first time.
A deleted scene from Marvel Avengers: Endgame resurfaced recently, and it’s a scene that takes place right after Tony puts on the Infinity Gauntlet and snaps his fingers, making the ultimate sacrifice to destroy Thanos.
The scene finds Stark in a middle position with his daughter, Morgan Stark, played by Catherine Langford. His daughter grew up in the scene, which is full of emotion.
“Did it work?” he says, holding her hands, while Morgan replies: “Yes, for me it worked, I was able to live and grow. For you, I can’t answer.”
Morgan tells her father that she is proud of him, and as she overcomes her worries about the decision she made, she says, “If you’re happy, I’m happy.” I
Then Stark tells her that he “loves her 3000,” harking back to their adorable exchange earlier in the film. You can watch the clip below.
Some of the responses fans have received include this fan saying, “How the fuck haven’t I seen or heard of this scene before?” Another added: “Is this true?” A third said: “It’s been 5 years and I’ve never seen it until now but I’m glad it was cut but I still would have been an emotional wreck watching it.”
One fan suggested: “Nice scene but I didn’t like his reluctance dialogue, maybe that’s why they cut it.” Another added: “Nice scene, but I think Tony’s sacrifice had more impact without this scene.”
What do you think of the scene?
