A character I was hoping to see return to Cry franchising is Matthew LilardIt’s Stu Macher. I never believed that he died in the movie and was still alive out there.
Lillard believes Stu is also alive and during a recent appearance on Drew Barrymore talk show, talked about a potential return to the Cry saga.
When asked if he would reprise his role, he responded, “Stu is definitely alive, right? My character Stu is definitely alive. I would love it. If it made sense for the franchise. If Kevin [Williamson] I liked it. Then sure. Obviously.”
As you may recall, Stu was stabbed multiple times Cry before a television fell on his head. I just want to point out that these are all injuries that could conceivably be survived.
The question is… will we see Lillard reprise his role after all these years? I hope so, but it’s not up to me. It depends on the creative team and what’s to come Screams 7 the film is directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson.
That new movie will bring Neve Campbell Sidney Prescott returns to the fold, and it would be a scene for Williamson to embrace key elements of the legacy with his return to the franchise.
But we’ll have to wait and see.
