BIG BANG THEORY Spinoff Series at Max Adds Original Cast Members Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus and Kevin Sussman

The Big Bang Theory The spin-off series announced last year to be in the works at Max has found its first three cast members. Actors Brian Posehn, Lauren LapkusAND Kevin Sussmann they will all be protagonists of the potential show. Exact plot details remain under wraps, but all three actors will reprise their roles from the original series.

The show is still in development and has not currently been greenlit for the series, with Posehn, Sussman and Lapkus currently under contract with talent holdings. Big Bang Theory co-creator Chuck Lorre is executive producing the new project via Chuck Lorre Productions, with Lorre currently under an overall deal with series studio Warner Bros. Television.

Sussman played the role of comic book store owner Stuart Bloom in the flagship series, starting in the show’s second season, eventually reaching series regular status. He appeared in over 80 episodes total for the remainder of the series, including the series finale.

Posehn appeared The Big Bang Theory as Bert Kibbler, a Caltech geologist with a crush on Amy (Mayim Bialik). He has appeared in 15 episodes of the show starting in season six. Lapkus played Denise, Stuart’s assistant comic book store manager and Stuart’s eventual love interest, in eight episodes of seasons 11 and 12.

I can’t say I’ve thought much about these characters since the show ended, but they were all a lot of fun, so maybe there’s some potential there. Would you be interested in this spin-off?
