“So I hope someone likes it James Gunn It gives me the opportunity to take on that character because I’d like to do a lot of fun things with him.”
He went on to talk about how the Joker was a huge inspiration in his portrayal of Art, among many other villains. “I look at Art as an amalgamation of all the horror icons that came before him.
“There are little pieces of each of these characters, from Jason to Pinhead to Freddy, Chucky, Jigsaw, all of them.”
He went on to say that he believes in Pennywise the Clown Stephen King’S It is the scariest clown ever, saying, “My scariest clown would probably be Pennywise. I mean, he’s always been my favorite in the past because it’s just that whole concept of this thing, it feeds on fear, and it can changing its shape depends on what scares you the most.
I have no idea if Gunn will ever give David Howard Thornton the opportunity to play the Joker, but it sounds like he would be capable of pulling off something sinister. I guess the actor is trying to portray himself as a creepy clown.
Would you like to see Thornton take on the role of Joker in Gunn’s DCU?
