A new trailer has been released for the dysfunctional family vacation film, Christmas Eve at Miller’s Point. The film is directed by TylerTaormina (Rye ham, Happer’s Comet) from a screenplay co-written by Taormina and Eric Berger.
The comedy initially premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in the Quinzaine des Cinéastes (Quinzaine des Cinéastes) section, and was also screened at the Deauville American Film Festival.
The cast includes Michele Cerawho also produced the film as well Elsie Fisher, Maria Dizzia, Greg Turkington, Matilda Fleming, Lev Cameron, Ben ShenkmanAND Sawyer Spielberg.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“An iridescent Christmas bauble, comforting and melancholic at the same time: for his third feature film, Tyler Taormina films a Christmas Eve gathering for the members of an eccentric Italian-American family. As the night wears on and generational tensions arise, one of the teenagers sneaks out of the house with her friend to claim the winter suburb for herself.
It feels like a very low budget holiday TV movie. But who knows, maybe the trailer doesn’t show the story being told properly.
