Amber Halftoneknown for her roles in Legion, Roswell, New MexicoAND Preyhas signed on to star in the second season of the Apple TV+ sci-fi action series, Monarch: Monster Legacy.
He joins the cast members of the first season which include Kurt Russell AND Wyatt Russellas well as Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, John Goodmann, Joe TippettAND Elisa Lasowski.
Midthunder will appear as Isabel, described as “an intelligent and powerful businesswoman.”
The official description of Monarch states:
“After the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters really exist, Monarch: Monster Legacy follows two brothers who follow in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secret organization known as Monarch.
“Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), set in the 1950s and a half-century later, when Monarch is threatened by what Shaw you know.
“The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the way epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate in our lives.”
Midthunder is best known for her starring role in Predator movie Prey. Released in 2022, Prey was the fifth film of the Predator franchise and earned rave reviews from critics upon its release.
That same year she was named one of Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch. His other film credits include The ice road, Rez Balland upcoming features Novocaine AND Opus.
He has already acted on television Legion at FX, Roswell, New Mexico on the CW, e Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix.
Monarch was co-created by Chris Black AND Matt Hamletwho are also executive producers and showrunners of the series.
It was renewed in April, with Apple and Legendary striking a deal to develop multiple spinoffs. It is the latest expansion of the legendary Monsterverse, following the success of the films Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, AND Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
