The boys the franchise is growing with a new spin-off series, Vought on the riseannounced last summer at Comic-Con.
Jensen Ackles will star in the series reprising his role as Soldier Boy. Ackles will also join Aya Cashwho will reprise her role as Stormfront.
Ackles’ Soldier Boy is the first unaged American Supe, created by Frederick Vought during World War II. Stormfront was Frederick Vought’s first successful test subject for Compound V and she married him before moving to the United States
Cash recently shared that he is reading the scripts for the series and that they are “insanely good.” He told CB: “I’ve read two scripts and they’re absolutely insanely good. But that’s all I can tell you.”
Executive producer of The Boys series Paolo Grellong will serve as executive producer and showrunner Vought on the risewhich was created by the main creative team behind it The boys franchise, led by Eric Kripke.
Kripke and Grellong offered details on the series, saying, “We’re thrilled to bring you the next crazy series from the world of The Boys,” Kripke and Grellong said, before lifting the veil on the time period and premise of the prequel.
“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, then called Clara Vought.
“We can’t wait to shock you and disturb your souls with this salacious and macabre saga soaked in blood and Compound V.”
Vought on the rise It doesn’t have a release date yet, but fans seem to be really excited about what the show will offer.
