Lea Thompson (Back to the future), Kevin Pollak (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Leanne Melissa Bishop (The weight of perfection) AND Aaron Ashmore (Ginny and Georgia) will be the protagonists of the feature film from Penguin Pictures and Farpoint Films What if.
The family drama, directed by Lindsay MacKay (The jar of swear words, Wet bum), made its market debut at the Toronto Film Festival.
The film follows Marley, a woman in her forties who discovers she has been involved in a mix-up during a hospital birth. The revelation sends her on a journey to redefine family, accompanied by an old high school friend who faces her own truths.
Written by Bishop, the film is produced by Michael P. Mason (The weight of perfection), Bishop and Kyle Bornais (The jar of swear words) from Farpoint Films. Peter Wetherell is the executive producer.
What if is currently in pre-production with plans to begin filming later this year.
