Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry (Monster ball, Never let go) has signed on to star in the thriller Crime 101alongside previously announced costars Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder), Marco Ruffalo (The Avengers), AND Barry Keoghan (Eternals).
The film, which begins shooting in two weeks, is based on the short story by Don Winslowwith Bart Layton (American animals, The impostor) directed. Layton, who also serves as executive producer The bait scammeralong with numerous other unscripted series, he wrote the screenplay.
Winslow’s original story follows a series of high-level jewelry thefts up and down the Pacific Coast Highway that went unsolved for years, largely because the author abided by a strict code he calls “Crime 101.”
Police attribute the thefts to Colombian cartels. But Detective Lou Lubesnick’s instincts say it’s one man’s work. Now the lone wolf jewel thief is on a quest for the legendary final score, and Lou breaks all the rules of Crime 101.
Sounds like an interesting premise and a great cast. Since it’s quickly entering production, we’ll be hearing more about it soon. We will keep you updated.
