During a recent appearance at Dragon Con (via Culture Slate), Esposito channeled the vibe he gets from the Star Wars creators and what you see happening to characters on TV shows:
“Like in the MCU… Disney is going to figure out how to unite all these characters into a really great movie or TV show. That’s my idea of where it’s going to go. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have a new vision, continuing with a Mandalorian movie… My feeling is that everything will converge at one point or another and we will have another series of… [a] trilogy, or more, of films.”
It has not been confirmed that Esposito will return in the next Mando and Grogu movie, as it was suspected that he died in season 3, although we wouldn’t be surprised if he returns.
Pedro Pasquale is returning to the lead role of bounty hunter Din Djarin, with Sigourney Weaver joining him in an undisclosed role, while he was showrunner Jon Favreau he’s directing from a script he wrote Dave Filoni.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released on the big screen on May 22, 2026. You hope to see the other one Star Wars Will TV characters converge with Mando in future films?
