Evan Peters AND Ryan Murphy are teaming up for another series project for FX titled Beauty. Ashton Kutcher, Antonio RamosAND Jeremy Pope they will also be the protagonists of the show,
The series is based on the Image Comics series of the same name created by Jeremy Haun AND Jason A. Hurley.
The story description reads: “Modern society is obsessed with external beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee that you become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease?
“In the world of Beautyphysical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover that the price to pay is terrible.
I’m not familiar with this comic, but it sure seems like an interesting and crazy story. Production is expected to begin this fall, with FX ordering 11 episodes.
Matthew Hodgson is a co-creator of the series and Peters, Murphy, Hodgson, Kutcher, Ramos and Pope all serve as executive producers.
Peters and Murphy worked together on nine episodes of American horror storywhile also receiving a tenth of a producer credit. Peters also appeared in the first season of the FX series Posewhich Murphy also co-created.
Peters recently starred in the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: the story of Jeffrey Dahmerwith whom Murphy co-created Ian Brennan. Peters won a Golden Globe for the show and received an Emmy nomination.
