Cry fans will get to see Ghostface embark on a new bloody killing spree Scream VIIwhich will be released in theaters on February 27, 2026.
Neve Campbellwho will return to the franchise to play Sidney Prescott, made the announcement on social media. He previously spoke about the next film, saying: “We will follow Sidney. They pitched me the concept, and that’s why I came on board.
The actress added: “I love these films, they’re so fun to be a part of, I’m so grateful for them, I could never imagine being a part of a film that would last so many decades.”
The film will be directed by the creator of the franchise Kevin Williamsonand the story is said to involve Sid’s two sons. Apparently, Sid and Gale (Courteney Cox) will find themselves facing a sort of Ghostface cult. Cox has yet to sign on for the film.
It was also said that the story might involve a “major time jump” after the events of the last film. The reason for this is that Sidney’s children have grown up to the appropriate age for slasher films.
Paramount Pictures will distribute the film, which is produced by Spyglass Media.
