Teaser trailer for Netflix’s black comedy series NO GOOD DEED featuring a star-studded cast

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming dark comedy series No good deedsfrom Dead to me Creator Liz Feldmann. The show’s logline reads:

“When Lidia (Lisa Kudrow) and Paul (Ray Romano) decide to abandon their empty nest to forge a new life, put their stunning 1920s Spanish-style mansion located in one of Los Angeles’ most desirable neighborhoods up for sale – and the real estate frenzy begins.

“Many families are all racing to buy what they believe to be their dream home, convinced that it will solve all their very different problems. But as Lydia and Paul know all too well, sometimes your dream home can be an absolute nightmare.

“As they struggle to hide the dark and dangerous secrets that linger in their old home, Paul and Lydia begin to realize that the only way to escape the past is to finally face it.”

The promo begins with an open house hosted by “Raleigh Real Estate,” in what appears to be a spacious Los Angeles home easily worth $3 million or more. A character played by enters Linda Cardellinino longer dead to us, while Luke WilsonThe character of – wearing sunglasses and a cap – writes “John Smith” as his name on the sign-in sheet.

Additional characters played by Abbi Jacobson AND Poppy Liu search the property. We see Denis Leary staring into a hidden camera… only to discover that homeowners Lydia and Paul are spying on their open house via an iPhone app.

The couple hides in one of the bedrooms, watching the broadcast, when someone scares them by trying to open the door. The trailer then cuts to a rapid frenzy of clips, as things get progressively more violent: rapid-fire shots of a hand placed dangerously close to a table saw, someone unwrapping a gun, and then what appears to be a dead body.

The series will consist of eight episodes of 30 minutes each. Series creator Feldman serves as showrunner, director and executive producer. Silver Tree also serves as executive producer and director; Christie Smith, Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell via Gloria Sanchez Productions are also EPs.

In addition to Kudrow, Romano, Cardellini, Wilson, Leary, Jacobson and Liu, the cast also includes OT Fagbenle AND Teyonah Parris. Guest stars include Matt Rogers, Kate Moennig, Chloe East, Rory Scovel, Wyatt Aubrey, Kevin Alves AND Linda Lavin. Feldman, Madie Dhaliwal and Cara DiPaolo, Crystal Jenkins, Bruce Eric Kaplan, Zora Bikangaga and Kelly Hutchinson serve as the show’s writers.

It looks like a lot of fun, and after having loved Dead to meI have a lot of faith that this will be great too. Check out the trailer below and watch No good deeds when it premieres on December 12.
