Prime Video Reacher the franchise is expanding with a new spin-off series that will focus on the character of Frances Neagley Maria Sten he will return to reprise his role. The series has officially been given a series order.
The Untitled Neagley project focuses on Sten’s Frances Neagley, “a private investigator in Jack Reacher’s circle.”
In the series, “When she learns that a close friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes obsessed with justice.
“Using everything he has learned from Jack Reacher and his time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley sets himself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”
The news was shared by Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, during the Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers event in London.
Sten was there too and shared his excitement by saying, “I love Neagley. She’s so fun to play, she’s so quirky and has so much complexity.”
Sten continued: “I love working on characters, that’s how I was trained. I read all the books he was in… I got into what I felt was his psyche. So as far as I’m concerned, I had it all there and I’m just excited to expand it further.
“It still is ReacherIt’s still fun, spectacular action and quick dialogue, but there’s something about it that’s Neagley, not Reacher. It’s the same funny tone but [the writers] make it yours.”
Reacher series creator Nick Santora developed the spinoff with writer Nicholas Wootton (Law & Order), and the two will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Santora and Wootton said: “Lee Child created an immensely rich character with Neagley, and Maria Sten brought her to life in such a vivid and authentic way in Reacher. Amazon, Skydance Television and CBS Studios have been amazing partners from the beginning, and we are excited to further explore Neagley’s story and dive into what makes her so unique.”
Sten added: “I’m beyond excited to further explore Neagley’s world and his somewhat mysterious background. She’s a wonderful character to play and I’m really excited for everyone to get to know her a little better.”
Reacher is based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Childand is one of the most popular shows on Prime Video. Alan Ritchson stars of the series and season 3 is currently in production.
