Nick Frost has written a new horror comedy that he also stars in titled Run awayand the first trailer has been released! This movie looks really fun!
In the film, a family’s vacation to a remote location takes an unexpected turn when they discover that the island they are on is inhabited by what appears to be a murderous cult.
The synopsis reads: “Awaiting a vacation on the small Swedish island of Svälta, the Smith family is troubled by hostile mainlanders who advise them to avoid the island at all costs, especially during the Karantan festival. But the family of 4 desperately needs some time away and stubbornly decides to take the ferry anyway.
“On the island the locals are quite rude and unwelcoming and their behavior suggests that some big event is about to happen. Is it a cult? Is there a sacrifice in the works?
“Seemingly unconcerned by such rudeness and drama, the family enjoys a swim in the sea, walks in the woods and, oh, silent isolation… which turns out to be a practically perfect situation for the Smiths, who have a special character. own plans.”
The film was directed by Steffen Haars and is full of dark humor, mean jokes and outrageous scenes. It is explained that the film will “lead you to an unexpected and twisted ending.”
Frost joins the cast of Aisling Bea, Sebastian Croft, Maisie AyresAND Eero Milonoff.
The film recently premiered at Fantastic Fest and will be released in theaters on December 6th.
