Cal Kestis, the main character of the popular Star Wars Jedi video game franchise will reportedly make its own live-action Star Wars debut.
While there aren’t many details, reliable movie insider Daniel Richtman says that “Cal Kestis is coming to live-action on Disney+.”
This seems like common sense information that anyone could pull out of the hat because it’s really only a matter of time before Cal makes his live-action debut.
The big questions are: Will the character appear in another project? Will he have his own series? Will it be both, where he’ll be introduced in another series and then be a spinoff in his own? We’ll just have to wait and see.
One thing we know is that the final chapter of the game series is currently in development, so when the series ends, its live-action story could pick up after those events. It also makes perfect sense that Cameron Monaghan would reprise his role.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy previously spoke about the possibility of a live-action Cal Kestis project, saying:
“I’ve seen a lot of chatter online about it. [Laughs] It could be really interesting. It’s not something that’s top of mind right now, but what’s interesting about the company that we do is that everyone in all these different lines of business, we all talk to each other.”
What would you like to see from Cal Kestis in a live-action Star Wars project?
