Before being cast in SUPERGIRL, Matthias Schoenaerts was Zack Snyder’s second choice for Batman

He announced it recently Mattia Schoenaerts he was cast as the main villain in the next DC Studios film Supergirl film, membership House of the Dragonis Milly Alcock, who will take on the title role.

This isn’t Schoenaert’s first encounter with DC as he was in contention for the role of Batman in Zack Snyder’s DCEU. In fact, if Ben Affleck had passed on the role, the part would have gone to Schoenaerts.

Snyder previously spoke about his Batman backup actor, saying, “I talked to him about it a lot. He never wore the suit, but I made a lot of his designs, because Ben was on the fence. And I don’t blame him. Everyone should be hesitant when asked, ‘Do you want to play Batman?'”

Schoenaerts would have made an interesting choice for Batman, but after all these years he’s landed in a DC movie, and it will definitely be a fun role for him to play.

I liked Affleck as Batman, and Schoenaerts is a very different type of actor and Batman would have been very different than what we saw with Affleck. Regardless of the choice, I don’t think Batman v Superman or Snyder’s Justice League would have been better.

Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow was written by Ana Nogueira and directed by Craig Gillespie. It was previously explained that the film is “based on Tom Kingit’s a wonderful comic book series that came out just last year… This is a very different kind of Super Girl.

In the story “we see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents of the time, he is a newborn baby and a super girl who grew up on a fragment of rock off the coast of Krypton and saw everyone around her die and be killed in a terrible way. ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then coming to earth when she was a little girl and is much more hardcore. She’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”

In King’s comic book history: “Kara Zor-El has seen some epic adventures over the years, but now finds her life without meaning or purpose. Here she is, a young woman who saw her planet destroyed and was sent to Earth to protect a little cousin who ended up no longer needing her. What was all this for?”

Everywhere she goes, “people only see her through the lens of Superman’s fame. Just when Supergirl thinks she’s had enough, everything changes. An alien girl seeks her out for a ferocious mission. His world has been destroyed and the bad guys responsible are still out there.”

She wants revenge, “and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she will do it herself, whatever the cost. Now a Kryptonian, a dog and an angry, heartbroken child set off into space on a journey that will shake them to the core.”
