HBO has released the first teaser trailer for The Last of Us Season 2, and it does a great job of building the tension of what this next chapter of the story has in store for us.
The series tells the story of Joel (Peter Pascal) and Ellie (Beautiful Ramsey) as they navigate a world overrun by zombies infected by a parasitic fungus, not to mention ruthless vigilantes, mercenaries and cannibals equally desperate to survive.
In Season 2: “After five years of peace following the events of Season 1, Joel and Ellie’s collective past catches up with them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.”
It is a brutal and heartbreaking story, in which the two characters must travel across the United States and depend on each other for survival.
The stars of the series Gabriel MoonAND Routine WesleyNew cast members for season two include actress like Abby, Isabella Merced like Dina, Young Mazino like Jesse, Ariela Barer like Mel, Tati Gabrielle like Nora, Mr. Spencer like Owen, and Danny Ramirez like Manny.
Catherine O’Hara also guest star in an undisclosed role and Dr. Jeffrey Wright joined the cast playing the role of Isaac, both of which can be seen in the trailer.
The Last of Us returns in 2025.
