Marvel’s first episode Agatha for life featured a surprising nude scene involving Author: Kathryn Hahn like Agata.
The episode, titled “Seekest Thou the Road,” features Agatha running naked through the streets of Westview, having broken free from the Scarlet Witch’s illusionary spell. She is furious and marches up to her neighbor John and asks how long she’s been “in this cesspool of a city,” all while hiding behind some strategically placed bushes.
John tells her that it’s been “three years” and, during their conversation, politely tries to convince her to cover up. But she doesn’t have it and walks away, exposing her bottom.
In an interview with Variety, Hahn spoke about this scene saying that it was her idea and explained why, saying, “I had it. I thought it was beautiful to see her stripped down, literally, as much as possible, which spoke to her helplessness in the present moment.
“At that moment he really had nothing left, so my goal was to illustrate the gap between that moment and the moment he found his power again.”
Schaeffer went on to talk about Hahn’s pitch and how she thought it was the best idea ever: “Kathryn was like, ‘I don’t think she would take the bathrobe. I don’t think she would really care about being naked in front of the neighbors.’
“I said to her, ‘That’s the greatest idea I’ve ever heard. ‘ Kathryn’s done so much work, and she’s done a lot of nudity and stuff, and so it felt very subversive to bring Kathryn Hahn’s nudity into the MCU.”
She added: “It’s so true [Agatha]and it makes me laugh out loud. And then, I mean, it’s incredible.”
They are clearly proud of this scene, regardless of what some fans think. Hahn is the first woman to show her butt in the MCU. Thor and Hulk’s butts have already been shown in the MCU. Who’s next!?
