We recently learned that Amazon Studios has suspended production on the third and final season of Famous peopleThe fantastic fantasy drama of Good omenscurrently in early pre-production stages in Scotland.

The decision was made following allegations of sexual assault against Gaiman, and the writer has now offered to leave the series so that production can continue.

Deadline reported: “Now, we know that Gaiman has made an offer to Amazon and the producers to take a backseat in the final season so that he can continue during the crisis talks over the Terry Pratchett the future of adaptation.

Deadline has learned that Gaiman’s offer is not an admission of wrongdoing following a Tortoise Media podcast that recounted the accounts of two women, with whom he was in a consensual relationship, who accused him of sexual assault.

“Two others have since come forward. Gaiman’s position is that he denies the allegations and is said to be troubled by them.”

Amazon is said to be considering Gaiman’s offer, but no final decision has been made yet. Good omens was renewed for a third season last year, with Gaiman continuing to serve as executive producer, writer and showrunner. His fellow co-showrunner, Douglas Mackinnonleft the show last year.
