Netflix has released the first trailer for a new, wild-looking horror film titled It’s what’s inside and it looks like it will take audiences on a truly psychedelic journey into madness.
Netflix bought this film at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year for a whopping $17 million. They obviously think this thing will be a huge hit with subscribers.
In the horror film: “A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that turns into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-buried secrets, desires and grudges.”
The film was written and directed by Greg Jardi and is described as a “playful, sexy, sci-fi-infused debut feature set in a twisted parlor game between a group of social media-obsessed misfits.”
“Amid the cheesy fun of the festive, lively atmosphere, Jardin ratchets up the tension and thrills, cleverly deploying elegant expository clues so that the audience can marvel at the quick twists and turns without being left behind.
The movie stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Brittany O’GradyAND James Morosiniand “the dynamic, up-and-coming cast plays out multiple variations of their romantically tangled and secretive characters with winking humor and wit.
“The production’s vibrant, colorful visual style echoes the exuberance of the conceptual premise, allowing for layered enjoyment in this immensely entertaining and wholly original puzzle film.”
It’s What’s Inside will debut on Netflix on October 4, 2024.
