If you like watching horror anthology movies, I have a trailer here that you can watch today that you might like. This trailer is for a horror movie called Hauntology.
The film’s synopsis reads: “In this queer horror anthology, 12-year-old Venus runs away from home, but her journey is cut short when her older sister, Jazmin, sees her pushing a suitcase down the sidewalk.
“Jazmin then takes Venus on a trip to Ohio, where Jazmin tells supernatural stories whose characters have more in common with Venus than they might first think.”
Hauntology It features four segments, and here are the details for each of them:
“The first is the story of Julian, a young transgender woman who casts a spell to become her ideal self. However, a dark spirit involved in the ritual soon becomes obsessed with Julian and tries to invade his life.
“The second story concerns a troubled married couple whose journey to a remote lake house reveals ominous cracks in the foundation. One member of the couple stumbles upon a mysterious tomb and discovers that its owner has been waiting for it for over a century.
“The third tale revolves around an emerging art gallery where paintings by a deceased artist are forged. However, the artist’s vengeful spirit soon manifests itself in the city, with bloody consequences.
“The fourth story is about a reporter who gets an interview with the eccentric owner of a Victorian mansion. After nightfall, the reporter quickly discovers why the house is so infamous for its ghosts.”
The film was written and directed by The Parker Brennonand its stars My Nancy (Halloween 1978), Samantha Robinson (The Witch of Love, Cam), Zoey Moon (The legacy of craftsmanship), AND Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story).
Hauntology will arrive at FrightFest on August 23, before arriving on VOD on September 17.
