DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN will feature “some of the most brutal action” Marvel has ever done

For those of you Marvel fans hoping Daredevil: Reborn will feature some fantastic fight sequences, it looks like this new series will live up to it.

The first season of Daredevil on Netflix featured one of the most brutal and raw fight sequences in a Marvel project and, according to the producer Brad Winderbaum, Daredevil: Reborn will overcome all this.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Winderbaum said: “I’ll tell you, some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming. Daredevil: Rebornwhich is not a horror show, but it’s really powerful and there’s a lot of visceral action, to say the least.”

Winderbaum went on to talk about how the MCU is big enough that each project can have its own tone, and that allows Daredevil: Reborn be more violent than other Marvel titles.

He said: “I think it goes back to the director’s intent. The horror on the screen in Agate It will be different from the horror on the screen in Marvel ZombiesIt will be different from the horror shown on screen in Blade.

“It was different from the horror on the screen in Knight of the Moon. It really depends on the director’s vision of what horror cues you’re taking. And that’s not just unique to horror. It’s unique to any genre that we play with. Obviously, there are many different ways to tell a story.”

Daredevil: Reborn meets Matt Murdock, “a blind lawyer with extraordinary abilities, and his nemesis, Wilson Fisk, who is pursuing his political agenda in New York.”

Winderbaum had previously compared the show to X-Men ’97: “Daredevil is amazing. It’s similar in some ways to X-Men ’97 because it’s reviving something that fans love. But it’s taking it in a new direction.”

He went on to tease how things have changed, saying, “These characters have matured, the universe is different than it was. Things have changed, society has changed. Matt and Wilson have changed.

“And their characters are going to collide in ways they’ve never seen before. It’s not enough to just try to kill each other anymore. There’s a whole game of politics at play.”

Daredevil: Reborn is currently in development by the directors Justin Benson AND Aronne Moorhead, our mentorwho worked on both Knight of the Moon AND Loki.

The stars of the series Charles Cox like Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio like the Kingpin, Jon Bernthal like Frank Castle/Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll like Karen Page, Elden Henson like Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Wilson Bethel like Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, e Ayelet Zurer like Vanessa Marianna-Fisk.
