Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released the first teaser trailer for A Minecraft Moviewhich derives from Napoleon’s Dynamite AND Nacho Free director Written by Jared Hess and stars Jason Momoa AND Black Jack.
This film is the first live-action film adaptation of Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time, and it looks like it will take audiences on a wacky and fun adventure!
As you will see, Jason Momoa sports another insanely vibrant look for this film. He loves to add a touch of pizzazz to the characters in his films and in this case he went all out!
The synopsis reads: “Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you create—it’s essential to survival! Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, Henry, Natalie, and Dawn—find themselves dealing with ordinary problems when they’re suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination.
“To get home, they must master this world (and protect it from evil creatures like Piglins and Zombies), while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected and skilled craftsman, Steve (Black).
“Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative… the same skills they need to thrive in the real world again.”
The film also stars Emma Myers (Wednesday), Danielle Brooks (The color purple), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Only Mercy, Lisey’s Story), with My life is beautiful.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures will release the film only in theaters and IMAX in North America on April 4, 2025.
