Netflix has released a trailer for its upcoming Geeked Week event that teases several of its upcoming projects, but in the middle of that trailer, they highlight Arcane Season 2 with a new preview. So if you are a fan of the amazing animated series, you will definitely want to check it out!
The series follows the two sisters, Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell), who find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its impoverished ward, Zaun.
In the cities of Piltover and Zaun, “tensions rise as inventors, thugs, politicians, and crime lords grow increasingly dissatisfied with the constraints of a devastated society.
“With the situation on the brink of untenable, two sisters steal an artifact of immeasurable power. Discovery and danger collide as heroes are born and bonds are broken. Will this power change the world? Or will it lead to ruin? This is the world of Arcane.”
As for Jinx and Vi’s story, “Amid growing instability between the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover and its seedy, oppressed dark underbelly of Zaun, sisters Vi and Jinx find themselves on opposite sides of an ongoing conflict over competing beliefs and arcane technologies.”
With the city under martial law, public energy is manifesting itself in new ways, and Jinx has found herself a symbol of the revolution while Vi must deal with her sister’s actions.
Previously speaking about the series, Purnell teased what we can expect from Arcane season two, saying it will make us cry.
She shared: “Oh man, I’m trying to remember [season one] because that was over two years ago. I actually just went back to the studio to do some ADR for the season two finale, and I cried. So, I think other people are going to cry, too. It’s devastating, and no one is going to feel good after watching it.”
Arcane The second season will debut on Netflix in November.
