There has recently been a rumor circulating online that James Gunn AND Chris Pratt they discussed an as-yet undisclosed role for the actor in the DCU.
The two have a strong rapport and have previously worked together on Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy for Marvel Studios. While Pratt will continue his run at Marvel as Star-Lord, Gunn has moved on and will focus 100% on DC Studios from here on out.
However, Gunn recently addressed these rumors and pretty much confirmed that they are true for obvious reasons… he and Pratt are friends, so, of course they talk about it!
When a fan asked him on social media if the rumors were true, Gunn said, “He’s a dear friend. We talk about it all the time.”
It’s safe to say that Gunn and Pratt will work together again on a DC movie someday. The big question is: what kind of movie will it be and which DC character will Pratt play?
Pratt was previously asked about the possibility of joining the DC Universe reboot in a recent interview, and he said, “Well, there’s always a possibility. But obviously I couldn’t spoil it for you out there on the sidewalk.
“I could, but I don’t want to. Man, I just have to let the fans and people like James decide. I’m not exactly sure. I’m not really sure. Yeah, sure, if I can fit it into my schedule and it makes sense.”
