Trailer for the horror film inspired by STEAMBOAT WILLIE SCREAMBOAT

The short film that introduced Mickey Mouse to the world, from 1928 The Steamboat WillieIt’s now in the public domain, and that means a lot of low-budget, cheesy horror movies are being made to profit off the evil killer Mickey Mouse.

Screaming boat It’s one of the first of these films, and while I love horror films, this wave of low budget horror films that take stuff from the public domain doesn’t interest me. It seems like a waste of money, time and energy.

The film comes from the production teams behind Terrifying 2 AND The bad guyand the actor Art The Clown Dr. David Howard Thornton plays the distorted version of Steamboat Willie from the film.

In Screaming boat“A mischievous mouse stalks a group of New Yorkers on an overnight ferry ride, wreaking murderous havoc on a relaxing journey. Can the ship’s motley crew of travelers find a way to stop a murderous creature that has developed a soft spot for tourists?

Screaming boat will feature a mix of practical creature effects, miniatures and cutting-edge virtual production to showcase its very mischievous monster making its way across a ferry of fear.”

The film comes from the director Steven The Death who states that the film version of Steamboat Willie is “a 100% on-camera creature feature,” using both a puppet and a costume.

The cast also includes Allison Pittell (Flow), Amy Schumacher (The bad guy), Jesse Posey (Teenage Wolf), Jesse Kove (Cobra Kai), Rumi C Jean Louis (Upper city) as well as Mr. Conroy (by Romero Day of the Dead) AND Charles Edwin Powell (The Exorcist III).
